Ingredients
  

For the Dip
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 8 oz Brie cheese cut into cubes
  • ½ cup shredded Gruyère or white cheddar
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves or ½ tsp dried
  • pinch of salt & black pepper
For the Caramelized Apples
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 medium apples peeled and diced (Honeycrisp or Pink Lady work great)
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt
For Topping
  • 4-6 slices thick-cut bacon cooked and crumbled
  • honey or maple syrup for drizzling
  • extra thyme or rosemary for garnish

Equipment

  • Pie dish or small baking dish
  • Medium skillet
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Rubber spatula r wooden spoon
  • Knife & cutting board
  • Measuring cups & spoons

Method
 

  1. Preheat & Prep
    Preheat your oven to 375°F. Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Caramelize the Apples
    Heat the butter in a skillet over medium heat.
    Add diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and a pinch of salt.
    Cook for 6–8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the apples soften and become glossy and caramelized.
    Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Make the Cheese Base
    In a bowl, mix together:
    cream cheese, chopped brie, shredded Gruyère or white cheddar, Dijon mustard, thyme, salt & pepper.
    It doesn’t have to be perfectly smooth, small chunks of Brie will melt beautifully.
    Spread the mixture evenly into your dish.
  4. Add Apples & Bake
    Spoon the caramelized apples evenly over the cheese mixture.
    Bake uncovered for 15–18 minutes, until the edges are bubbling and the center is melty.
  5. Add Bacon & Finish
    Sprinkle the crumbled bacon evenly over the hot dip.
    Drizzle lightly with honey or maple syrup for a glossy, sweet-savory finish.
    Garnish with extra thyme or rosemary.
