- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).Grease a 9x9-inch square pan and line it with parchment paper, leaving a 2-inch overhang on the sides.
- Cream the softened butter and both sugars together for about 3 minutes. You want it light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla, mixing until just combined.
- Whisk the flour, baking soda, and salt together. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture. Stop mixing the moment you see no more flour streaks. Fold in the majority of the chocolate chips by hand.
- Press the dough into your 9x9 pan.Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips on top.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes.
- Let them cool in the pan for at least 3 hours. Place the pan in the fridge for 30–60 minutes before slicing.
