- PrepPreheat oven to 375°F (190°C).Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter and lightly dust with cocoa powder.
- Melt Chocolate + ButterIn a heatproof bowl over simmering water or in the microwave in short intervals, melt the butter and chocolate together until smooth.
- Mix Eggs + SugarIn a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, egg yolks, and powdered sugar until smooth and slightly thickened.Add vanilla extract.
- CombineGently fold the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture.Sift in the flour and salt and fold until just combined.
- Pour + BakePour the batter into the prepared 9x13 pan and spread evenly.Bake 20–25 minutes, until the edges are set but the center is still soft. The middle should jiggle slightly when you shake the pan.
- ServeLet the cake cool for 5–10 minutes before cutting into squares.Serve warm with ice cream, whipped cream, or fresh berries.
