- Preheat & Prep: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x5 ceramic loaf pan and line with a parchment sling if desired for easy removal.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, mash bananas until mostly smooth. Stir in melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla until combined.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- Combine: Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet just until no flour streaks remain. Do not overmix. Fold in nuts or chocolate chips if using.
- Bake: Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool & Serve: Let the banana bread cool in the pan for 15–20 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
