  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice
  • ½ tsp Smoked paprika
  • Pinch of crushed red pepper flakes optional
For Assembling
  • 8 Mini pretzel slider buns
  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese
  • Sliced pickled or fresh jalapeños
  • Crispy fried onions homemade or storebought

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Skillet or griddle
  • Small whisk or fork
  • Spoon or pastry brush
  • Knife & cutting board

Method

  1. Season and cook the turkey:
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey with seasoned salt, brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, and black pepper. Mix until the seasonings are evenly distributed.
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the seasoned ground turkey and cook, breaking it up into small crumbles with a spoon or spatula, until it’s fully cooked and lightly browned.
  2. Make the cowboy butter:
In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, chives, thyme, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, smoked paprika, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using).
Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  3. Assemble the sliders:
Split the pretzel buns in half. Brush the cut sides generously with the cowboy butter.
Toast the buns in a skillet or under the broiler until lightly golden and fragrant.
Spoon the cooked, seasoned ground turkey onto each bottom bun.
Top with shredded cheddar cheese, sliced jalapeños, and a sprinkle of crispy fried onions.
Finish with the top bun, and for extra flavor, brush the tops with a bit more cowboy butter.
  4. Serve:
Enjoy your cowboy sliders warm! They’re perfect for parties, game day, or any casual gathering.
