Method
Make the Dough
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, yeast, and salt.
- Add the warm water and olive oil, mixing until a sticky dough forms.
- Transfer to a floured surface and knead for 5–6 minutes, or until smooth and elastic.
First Rise
- Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Prepare the Garlic Oil
- In a small skillet, heat the olive oil over low heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant (do not brown). Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
Shape the Bread
- Punch down the risen dough and transfer to a 9x13-inch baking pan greased with olive oil.
- Use your fingers to gently stretch and press the dough into the pan. Cover and let rest for 30 minutes.
Top & Dipple
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Drizzle the garlic-infused oil evenly over the dough.
- Use your fingers to press dimples all over the surface.
- Sprinkle Parmesan cheese, Italian herbs, and flaky sea salt on top.
Bake
- Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown and crisp around the edges.
Serve
- Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve warm, and enjoy the cheesy garlic aroma filling your kitchen.
