Tomatini Cocktail

A savory twist on a classic martini, the Tomatini is a fresh, minimalist cocktail made with vodka (or gin), fresh tomato juice, lemon, simple syrup, and a dash of Worcestershire. It’s smooth, bright, and quietly bold—perfect for brunch or an elegant cocktail hour.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 oz Vodka
  • 1 oz Fresh tomato juice
  • ½ oz Fresh lemon juice
  • ½ oz Simple syrup
  • 1 dash Worcestershire sauce
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • dash Hot sauce optional

Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Fine mesh strainer
  • Jigger
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Martini or coupe glass

Method
 

  1. Make the juice:
    Blend or muddle ripe cherry or plum tomatoes, then strain through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth to get about 1 oz of smooth tomato juice.
  2. Shake it up:
    Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.
  3. Strain & serve:
    Strain into a chilled coupe or martini glass.
  4. Garnish:
    Top with your tomato-basil skewer or float a delicate tomato slice on the surface. Add a light pinch of flaky salt if you're feeling extra.
